These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all purchases of CleanAir Hoods products (under-cabinet hoods, wall-mounted chimney hoods, island hoods, commercial hoods, and accompanying accessories like replacement filters, LED light bulbs, and cleaning kits) and related services (professional installation, maintenance inspections) (collectively “Products/Services”) from CleanAir Home & Commercial Solutions Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “us”). By placing an order via our website, authorized retailers, or customer support channels, you (“Customer,” “you”) agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and all product-specific guidelines (e.g., installation manuals, safety protocols) provided at the time of purchase.
1. Order Acceptance & Modifications
Your order constitutes a request to purchase Products/Services, not a binding contract. We reserve the right to accept, reject, or adjust orders if: (a) Products are out of stock (due to high demand for chimney hoods during home renovation seasons or supply chain delays for commercial-grade stainless steel components); (b) Product details contain errors (e.g., misstated CFM ratings, incorrect dimensions); or (c) your delivery/installation space is incompatible (e.g., island hoods require specific ceiling 承重 [load-bearing capacity]—we may require a pre-purchase space assessment for commercial or custom-sized units). A binding contract is formed only when we issue a written order confirmation (email or physical document) including item specs, total cost (taxes, shipping, service fees), delivery/installation timelines, and any required deposits.
Post-confirmation modifications (e.g., upgrading from a 800-CFM to 1,200-CFM under-cabinet hood, adding a annual maintenance kit) must be submitted in writing within 24 hours. We will confirm feasibility and cost/timeline adjustments (e.g.,
400 for hood upgrades, 1–3 business days for accessory additions). For bulk/commercial orders (10+ units for restaurants, hotels, or property developers), modifications are prohibited once production or shipment begins (typically 4 business days post-confirmation); cancellations result in forfeiture of the 30% non-refundable deposit.
2. Product Specifications & Safety Compliance
All CleanAir Hoods meet global safety and quality standards: UL 710 (U.S. range hood safety), EN 60335-2-31 (EU appliance safety), and AS/NZS 60335.2.31 (Australia/New Zealand safety). Product pages and manuals clearly list key specs: CFM rating (800–2,500), dimensions (width 24–48 inches for residential, 36–72 inches for commercial), noise level (45–65 decibels), and filter type (baffle, charcoal, or mesh). Minor variations (e.g., subtle differences in stainless steel finish, slight LED brightness tweaks) are normal and do not qualify as defects.
You are responsible for: (a) Ensuring professional installation (especially for ducted hoods—improper venting can cause smoke buildup or fire hazards; we only honor warranties for installations done by our certified technicians or licensed contractors); (b) Regular maintenance (e.g., cleaning/replacing filters every 3–6 months to prevent grease buildup); (c) Using the hood only for intended purposes (residential hoods are not designed for commercial cooking loads like high-volume frying). We provide installation certification and maintenance guides but are not liable for property damage, fire risks, or equipment failure caused by DIY installation, unapproved modifications, or misuse.
3. Payment Terms
- Methods: We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), debit cards, PayPal, and bank transfers (for bulk/commercial orders over $5,000). Commercial customers may qualify for net-45 payment terms (subject to credit approval via business license, financial records, and reference checks).
- Deposits: A 30% non-refundable deposit is required for bulk/commercial orders and custom-sized hoods (e.g., 72-inch commercial island hoods); standard in-stock residential products require full payment at checkout (no deposit).
- Pricing: Prices are listed in U.S. dollars (USD) for U.S. orders, with local currency options (EUR, GBP, CAD) for international sales. Prices include applicable sales tax and compliance fees (excluding international orders—customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees are your responsibility). Quotes are valid for 7 days; prices may adjust due to material cost increases (e.g., stainless steel, high-performance motors) or regulatory changes to energy efficiency standards.
- Late Payments: For commercial installment plans, unpaid balances incur a 2.5% monthly late fee. We may delay delivery, suspend maintenance services, or charge a re-installation fee if payment is 15+ days overdue.
4. Shipping & Delivery

Domestic Shipping (U.S.): Free standard curbside delivery (5–7 business days) for orders over
800 incur a120 fee (based on size/weight:120 for commercial units). White-glove delivery (indoor placement, unboxing, and pre-installation inspection) is available for200; professional installation costs an additional500 (varies by hood type and complexity, e.g., ducted vs. ductless).

International Shipping: Available to select countries (EU, Canada, Australia) with fees ranging from
800 (depending on size and destination). Delivery times (10–14 business days) are subject to customs delays (we are not liable for hold-ups related to import permits or safety certifications). All international orders require a signature upon delivery to confirm undamaged receipt (e.g., no dents in stainless steel bodies, no cracked control panels).
- Inspection: Inspect Products immediately upon delivery. Note damage on the courier’s receipt, take photos of packaging and the product, and notify us within 48 hours. We will replace damaged items free of charge or issue a full refund; failure to report damage within 48 hours voids coverage.
5. Warranties & Returns
- Warranties: All CleanAir Hoods include a limited warranty: 5 years for residential hoods (covers motors, control panels, and structural defects), 10 years for commercial hoods, and 1 year for accessories (filters, bulbs). The warranty excludes: (a) Wear from normal use (e.g., filter replacement, minor scratches); (b) Damage from neglect (e.g., grease buildup in motors, water exposure); (c) Repairs by non-CleanAir authorized technicians. Extended warranties (up to 10 years for residential, 15 years for commercial) are available for purchase at checkout.
- Returns: Standard in-stock Products (unused, in original packaging, with all parts/manuals) may be returned within 30 days for a full refund (minus shipping/installation fees if applicable). Custom-sized hoods and installed units are non-returnable unless defective (verified by our technical team), in which case we provide a replacement or pro-rated refund. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility (except for defective items, where we provide a prepaid label). Used or damaged-by-misuse hoods are non-returnable.
